Directors

LShift is run by four directors.

Andy Wilson, Managing Director

Andy WilsonAndy's background is in Avionics and Electronic Engineering (communications, radar, doppler and sonar systems.) He took degrees in Philosophy at York and Middlesex Universities. Andy has had senior management roles in a number of development and new media companies, including roles as Technical Director at Amaze, Red Kite New Media and Zinc Ltd. He founded the UK Director Users Group (DUG) and co-founded The Cluster, the aim of which is "to encourage the development of deep collaboration ('peering') between companies."

Matthias Radestock, Technical Director

Matthias RadestockMatthias has a Ph.D. and MEng. in Software Engineering from Imperial College and has authored several papers on distributed system coordination, process algebras and programming languages. His commercial experience includes directorships within several technology companies.

Stuart Mottram, Systems Director

Stuart MottramStuart has degrees in Mathematics and Applied Computing and has been developing web-based solutions and building ISPs for ten years. He has vast experience over all aspects of IT, from computer hardware through networking and operating systems, to databases and application development. His specialisation is in fault analysis and problem tracking.

Mike Rowlands, Executive Director

Mike RowlandsMike has been working in the digital communications business for over 10 years, helping some of the best respected companies in the world plan and build communications technologies. He started his career at the Financial Times where is worked on the launch of FT.com and over time he has been a director of a number of web-related and not so web-related businesses. He works closely with clients to help develop and build their businesses and is responsible for the overall management of LShift.
