Structure and pricing
Expro comprises the Product Information Manager and
three core module (Catalogue Publishing, Store and Website
Content), allowing you to select the channel options that best
suit the way that you trade.
Additional languages, currencies and local interfaces can be
added with the International Support Module. Product information
can be shared with call centres, in-store kiosks, suppliers,
communications agencies, franchisees and translation services
using the connect and share options.
1. Which core module?
Deciding the role that Expro will play within the
business will help the selection of the core modules that sit
alongside the Product Information Manager.
The purchase price includes the Product Information Manager
plus one of the core modules below.
-
This option is suitable for retailers that predominantly
trade through direct mail or catalogues. The module allows
product information to be exported directly into any
catalogue or mail order production system.
-
This option is suitable for retailers that predominantly
trade through their stores. The module enables stores to
have access to product information through POS terminals,
and also enables them to produce POS visual material.
-
Suitable for retailers that trade mostly online, this
module integrates Expro product information with web
publishing systems.
Modules not selected at the initial stage can be added
afterwards.
2. Connect and share
It is possible to extend the functionality of Expro
through opening up access to business partners for greater
collaboration.
-
Allow call centres, at home or abroad, to access
up-to-date product information.
-
The In-Store Kiosk module is a view of the application
that is geared towards customers. This includes larger
buttons, a heightened graphical experience, restrictions on
confidential information (such as price changes) and
read-only functionality.
-
Give read-write access to your suppliers, allowing them
to contribute to the Product Information Manager
directly.
-
Public Relations and photography agencies can have
access to the Product Information Manager and also write
information. This means that product press releases or
photographs can be uploaded directly from remote
locations.
-
In some cases, for example with franchisees, it may be
necessary to apply restrictions to Expro - such as
the ability to write information back to the Product
Information Manager. The franchisee module is designed with
these requirements in mind.
-
Using this option, translation agencies can access
Expro directly in order to translate your product
infomation into other languages.
-
This option allows Expro to be linked to existing
reporting systems. For example, reports showing the
workflow state of product information can help to eliminate
bottlenecks and reduce product lead times.
3. International support module
The international support module includes...
- Local interfaces
- International currency support
- Activating another language in which product information
can be stored. Both Western and non-Western languages are
supported
Habitat case study
Habitat has incorporated shelf-edge labelling software
into a much bigger implementation of product information
management software, from supplier LShift, which is helping
Habitat to standardise product data for its UK and
international operations' stores, catalogues and
websites.
